machining center telescopic cover / horizontal / vertical

The SHEET-POCKET ™, manufactured by PEI, is a telescopic steel cover used for shielding the Y-axis in horizontal machining centers. It has a speed that measures up to 150 m/min, and an acceleration reaching up to 2 g. It is also built with a fully enclosed frame that is independent from its machine structure.

In addition, it has a spindle opening with edges secured by protected wipers. Its steel cover casing permits convenient installation, as well as easy removal for maintenance and inspection purposes. This product is also made up of sequence of moving panels that fully adheres to one another to avoid shavings from entering inside.
