The KEW from Sir Meccanica is a unit used for the machining of pins and cylindrical projecting bodies. The construction with several degrees of freedom, framed onto the body to be machined, enables the set up of the W machine tool that will carry out the external turning operation.

The kit enables good centering of the equipment on the cylindrical body. This is due to its swivels and flexible components. This design is provided with systems for rugged and fine adjustment.

These are significant for reaching the needed geometric tolerances. The system is flexible in a planar, as well as axial way. The cut ensures a good surface coating, reliability and vibration dumping. This is created by an orbiting tool with a low number of revolutions, and a system with an adjusting tailstock.
