This roll cover is made from transparent FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene). It has a semi-stiff execution, a wall thickness of 0.50 mm and has a working temperature of -150 to +200 °C. It can shrink with hot air at temperatures ranging from +100 to +200 °C and has a shrinkage ratio of 1.2-1.25:1.
This anti-adhesive, heat shrinkable roll cover has the finest of surfaces as well as exceptional chemical resistance and dielectrical characteristics. It is non-combustible in fire.
The roll cover can be used as a coating for immersion tubes in chemistry, as an anti-stick coating or protection against corrosion for rolls and rollers in paper, textile and food processing machines, and as a temperature resistant electrical insulation.
Use of high temperatures to shrink-fit is desirable as is attention to the possibility of a discharge spark due to electrostatic charging of the roll in dry running. Optional sizes, interior versions and heat-proof teflon are available.
