The NSK SHX Steel is specially designed and created out of NSK's heat treatment technology and proprietary materials. It comes with a resistance feature against heat and wear. This enables it to be compatible with high speed applications like grinding operations. This patented steel is suitable for angular contact bearings and cylindrical roller bearings. It comes with a lengthened operation life which enables it to work under low or poor lubrication circumstances. It has an alike heat resistance system with the Aerospace M50 steel (300°C). It offers a four times expanded sub surface and surface fatigue resistance.

It has a 20 % higher speen in comparison to standard bearing steel. It is applicable for application where ball or raceway slippage may possibly occur.
