Favier presents silica fibre braided, untreated sleeving with no impregnation. It can handle continuous working temperature of +1050°C and peaks of +1200°C. The sleeving is fire-resistant. It is very flexible. It provides high resistance to radiation and chemicals, particularly acid. When cut, it frays slightly. The sleeving has a low coefficient of thermal expansion. It provides exceptional thermal insulation. The low density sleeving works well with soldering iron without any retraction.
