SKF injection oilers and micropumps are piston pumps with pneumatic operation and provide delivery rates of 3mm³ to 90mm³ for each actuation. Every lubrication point is equipped with a unique outlet port for injection oiler or one micropump. Based on the type of pump, delivery rate can either be fixed or changeable in increments. A compressed-air valve can directly control every injection oiler element or micropump.

High speed delivery of the metered quantity of lubricant is ensured by the low need of actuating air. The suction port can admit the lubricant either without pressure or with pressure of up to 0.3 MPa. A variety of lubricants can be used such as non-aggressive fluids, water, oils with operating viscosity >10mm²/s, and NLGI grade 2 lubricating greases.

A small centralized lubrication system uses injection oilers and micropumps in 1 to 12 lubrication points.
