Metso's LIMS dry drum low intensity magnetic separators consists of a stationary magnetic yoke with a number of permanent magnets placed inside a rotating drum of non-magnetic material.
LIMS dry drum low intensity magnetic separators are suitable for separation of ferromagnetic ores with particle sizes finer than 20mm. and for iron and steel slag treatment. It reduces pyrite ash separation. It is designed for calcined ilmenite production, metal powder production, supergrade magnetic concentrate production. It can also be used for removal of ferromagnetic particles prior to high intesity magnetic separation and it can control iron contamination in glass sand production.
