Transporting passengers is a business where cost-effectiveness increases proportionally with the number of passengers per train and journey times.

The MULTIRAIL® system assists by recording passenger numbers using precise weighing at normal travel speeds. The results and evaluations are forwarded online to the operator’s managers and provide information about transport demand and occupancy figures for vehicles.

MULTIRAIL® precisely determines the times between trains. It measures the passenger density of each carriage in passengers/m², the percentage of carriage and train utilisation and the transport capacity per train. The diagnosis provides results based on time: hourly, daily, weekly and monthly.

It is therefore much easier and cheaper to optimise operating times, vehicle numbers and train frequency.

Needs-based servicing and preventive maintenance cut operating costs
Servicing measures are a sensitive topic in passenger transport. It is all a matter of safety, cost-effectiveness – and a cost factor that must not be underestimated. Needs-based maintenance with the optional additional module MULTIRAIL® WheelScan reduces these costs considerably. It diagnoses the wheels and detects flat spots for example which damage the rail infrastructure and vehicles. Preventive, needs-based maintenance therefore preserves both track and budget.
