needle bearing / single-row / self-aligning

Aligning needle roller bearings are composed of drawn outer cups, outer rings with a spherical-shaped outside surface, plastic support rings with a concave-shaped inner profile, needle roller and cage assemblies, and inner rings that are removable.

Static shaft misalignments are compensated so that shaft misalignment relative to the housing is tolerated. These bearings feature firm seating in the housing bore so that bore production is simple and economical.

Aligning needle roller bearings are considered as X-life bearings, in which the geometrical accuracy and roughness of the raceways have been optimized. This provides increased load carrying capacity and longer operating life.
