The DVZ-E, manufacture by KOBOLD, is a compact vortex flow meter that is used for measuring and monitoring smaller and medium sized flow of low viscosity and water-like liquids in pipes. This device operates by using vortex standard that makes it essentially virtually maintenance free.

The DVZ-E involves the installation of a sharp-edged object in the flow duct. The vortices are designed behind the object which the number is equivalent to the velocity of flow of the liquid. Furthermore, the flow meter has a usable ambient temperature that ranges from -10 °C up to 60 °C.
