Applications:
for liquids
This device is useful for measuring liquids that are up to 180°C in temperature and flow ranges measuring between 0.3 and 25l/min. The device has an uncomplicated, durable style, and it features a response time of less than 10ms and analog output signals ranging between 4 and 20mA.
The unit can handle pressure ranges of up to 15 bar, and has a mechatronic flow sensor, which works under the spring-supported piston principle. The piston is located in the casing's valve seat. It is then lifted by the flowing medium against the spring resistance. A magnetic field sensor helps monitor the piston position, and this is outputted as an analog signal.
With decreasing flow, the spring resistance causes the piston to return to its original position. This prevents backflow and provides position-independent installation of the flow sensor.
This device is highly suitable for use with liquids such as water and glycol solutions.
