The calorimetric flow meters manufactured by TURCK can accurately measure the flow of water/glycol mixtures. They are wear-free and have an accuracy close to 10% f.s. The principle behind the thermal operation of the devices is based on the cooling of a sensing probe which is done using fluid motion along the probe.

The heat loss will then measure the flow speed in response to the flow rate.
