The SAUTER HK-D is a rugged and portable durometer designed for on site measuring of hardness of all metal samples (> 3 kg, thickness > 8 mm) in a highly professional manner, and can be used in production, production control and various other applications. It features a robust metal housing, and a standard (type D) external impact sensor. The Backlit multi-function display (Matrix display) is capable of showing values as Rockwell (Type A, B, C), Vickers (HV), Shore (HS), Leeb (HL) and Brinell (HB), with automatic unit conversion, that transforms measuring results into all specified hardness units. It also features an automatic compensation function, permitting 360° measuring, limit function for setting upper and lower limit values and audio/visual signals that support the measuring operation. It has an internal memory capable of holding up to 600 data groups (each with up to 32 values) and a mini statistics function for showing test result, average value, impact direction, date and time.
