safety relay / multifunction / DIN rail

IFM multifunctional safety relay with semiconductor outputs feature E-stop with cross-fault and optional simultaneity monitoring. Used for connecting mechanical safety switches and fail-safe sensors, one advantage of the safety relay is allowing operation in two-hand control to EN 574 type IIIC in combination with electronic sensors or mechanical switches.

IFM multifunctional safety relays are certified to IEC 61508, ISO 13849-1, EN 574 type IIIC. There are several options for connection to the safety relay, for instance, when combined with different non-contact guards, IFM safety relays can perform monitoring tasks in safety applications.

Other applications include evaluation of signals from safety light barriers, safety light curtains, electronic fail-safe sensors or mechanical safety switches for protective guard contacts or electronic position sensors or mechanical position switches with or without cross-fault monitoring.
