The FLOOR TYPE MILLING MACHINE MX7 offers an enhanced machine design concept with its linear guideway technology and the Juaristi’s rigid column centered headstock design. The machine equips a set of four linear guideways which is a boon to it. The guideways include two in the front and two at the rear of the column. This guideway sytem is meant for capturing the headstock within the column and providing the machine with enhanced rigidity and stability. This set of four linear guideways is also responsible for capturing the milling ram on all sides, in addition to the accuracy that it offers in machining of large parts at rapid feed rates through its bed structure.
Unlike the rest, there exist a combination of a chiller system and temperature monitoring probes located throughout the ram assembly which takes care of the controlling of the Longitudinal ram growth. The MX7 is also provided with a wide cast iron bed which allows an ultra-stable platform. A further enhancement in the MX7’s machining accuracy can also be offered through an optional hydro-mechanical droop compensation system.
