KNUTH presents Predator 1600 VH bed-type milling machine. Its a conventional, high-end machine featuring preloaded ball screws and servo-drives for easy feeding. The machine provides high load capacity, accuracy and dependability. Due to the heavy bed-type design, it can handle very heavy components and powerful machining applications.

It has been made of sturdy, hardened FC-30 cast-iron, which provides maximum robustness and resistance to wear. On Y and Z axis, it has fine-ground and hardened box-ways with plastic counter-lamination. All 4 axes (X, Y, Z, and W) have a linear measuring system. And all axes have big preloaded ball screws featuring preloaded spindle nuts. This combination ensures high precision over longer periods.

Micro-adjustments and electric hand-wheels are included in all axes. These help in quicker set up of machine, and provide significantly improved accuracy. The electric hand-wheel can be used for adjusting the standard horizontal cutter. When connected with a divider or rotary table, this enables machining from multiple sides with no re-clamping of components.

Vertical cutter head has a 3-step main drive with a dependable variable frequency drive.
