programmable temperature controller / digital / hot runner

Hot runner systems (HR) are commonly used in plastics industry from over 40 years. Due to the tendency of squeezing injection moulding cost, hot runner systems become increasingly common. Despite the fact that HR requires initial heigher investment of stage of mould making, there is quick return of investment with certain production volume due to major advantages of HR.

The major advantages of HR are:
• elimination of inlet and the losses associated with waste plastic
• reduced cycle time in comparison with the cold runner mould (extra time for cooling because of the cold inlet, cross section is often many times greater than the wall thickness of part)
• improve the quality and strength of the molding,
• possibility of sequential control,
• automation of production process and thereby improve the repeatability of the parameters and product quality

The quality of the HR operation depends mostly on the quality of Hot runner controllers which have been improved since last years.
