Area of application:
The impact hammer mill, type GRIZZLY is used in recycling operations for the economical size reduction of residual- and waste wood of all kind. Not only pre-broken waste wood but also non precut, long recycling wood can be introduced into the mill. The machine distinguishes itself by means of a high throughput rate at low specific energy consumption, low operating costs, robust and durable construction. The wood, prepared with the GRIZZLY, is used as high quality and homogenous raw material substantially and thermally.
Method of operation:
The material is fed horizontally. The draw-in device of the machine, consisting of a plate conveyor and a swing with draw-in rollers compresses the feed material and introduces it into the rotor at constant speed. The heavy-duty hammers hit in an upward action against the compressed material, break-off pieces which are then reground in the grinding chamber above the rotor. An additional preparation is performed at the end of the impact chamber by means of a breaking comb. The fineness of the end material is determind by the mesh size of the screen installed through which the material is discharged to below.
Design:
This sturdy and compactly built machine is designed for the special requirements of modern recycling operations. The split design of the machine housing allows hydraulic opening and easy access to the rotor. The sturdy disc rotor is stress relieved. The heavy swing hammers offer two wowrking faces.
